Hurricanes Continue Skid Thanks to Andersen, Gamecocks
The South Carolina Gamecocks grabbed a 12-4 win over the Miami Hurricanes at Gremlins Ballpark. South Carolina shortstop Ross Andersen was 2-3 with 2 triples and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 to earn player of the game honors. South Carolina reliever Jim Riley picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Aaron Lentz was saddled with the loss. The 21st-place Hurricanes have lost 4 straight games.

Andersen had a key at-bat for South Carolina early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run triple. It was his 2nd triple of the season and gave South Carolina an early 2-0 lead.

"It feels good to get this one," Andersen told the South Carolina Daily News.
