Tigers Bang Out 11-9 Win Versus Fresno State
|
The LSU Tigers downed the Fresno State Bulldogs, 11-9, at Brooks College Grounds. Eric Donohue led the way, going 3-for-3 for LSU. LSU reliever Chris Ferderer picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Erik Skrzypek was saddled with the loss. At 7-11, the Tigers are currently 18th in the Cliff Gustafson.
The Tigers got a big at-bat from first baseman Jason Conradt. For the game, Conradt was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 19th hit of the season gave LSU a 11-9 lead.
In comments to the LSU News, Conradt admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
