Buckeyes Bang Out 8-5 Win Versus Miami
The Ohio State Buckeyes defeated the Miami Hurricanes, 8-5, in Skip Bertman League action at Ballpark of Bloomfield College, with Ohio State right fielder Ben Blackwell named player of the game. Reliever Jeremy Hebert picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Ezra Bryan took the loss. The save was Mike Kroll's, his 1st.

Danny Jennings drove in one run for Ohio State. The 21-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Rory Elliot. It was his 19th RBI of the season.

"We came out aggressive," said Buckeyes manager Dave Draves. "We came out swinging the bats."

The Buckeyes bumped their record to 11-6 with this latest triumph.
