Worley, Cougars Rough Up Horned Frogs
|
Another day, another victory for the red-hot Washington State Cougars.
The Washington State Cougars topped the TCU Horned Frogs by the score of 14-3, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Nate Worley. Worley went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Cougars. Heath Youngblood earned the win to go to 1-0. He allowed 3 earned runs on 5 hits, with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts. Earning his 2nd save for Washington State was Eric Anderson.
Worley had a big at-bat with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the bottom of the eighth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Cougars went on to win.
