Golden Bears Get Road Win, 7-5
|
California right fielder Evan Wescott had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Rice Owls, 7-5. The win was Bryson Griffis's in relief. His record improves to 2-0. John Newmaster took the loss for Rice. The save went to Donald Barron, his 6th this season.
Early in the game, Wescott had a run-scoring single for California. It was his 19th hit of the season and put the Golden Bears on top, 1-0.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Wescott said after the game.
The Golden Bears bumped their record to 9-6 with this latest triumph.
