Valentine hits 4th home run as Commodores Squeeze Past Oklahoma State
The Vanderbilt Commodores did just enough to sneak past the Oklahoma State Cowboys, 7-6, at Canaries Ballpark. Vanderbilt right fielder Jason Valentine earned player of the game honors. Chase Thompson earned the win for Vanderbilt. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 5 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 1-1. The Commodores bumped their record to 9-6 with this latest triumph.

Valentine had a key at-bat for Vanderbilt early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and gave Vanderbilt an early 2-0 lead.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Valentine said after the game.
