The Grays had to overcome a fine performance from Bloomington pitcher Landy Lu to grab a 3-2 win at Arson Arena. Lu allowed 3 earned runs over 8.1 innings. The Grays bumped their record to 34-34 with this latest triumph.
The Grays got a big at-bat from right fielder Lee Brooks. For the game, Brooks was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Georgia a 2-0 lead.
Brooks attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
