Commodores Topple Salukis with Late Rally
The Commodores had to overcome a fine performance from South Illinois pitcher Tom Scholten to grab a 3-2 win at Field of the Shield. Scholten allowed 2 earned runs over 7 innings. The Commodores bumped their record to 8-5 with this latest triumph.

Brent Biernacki made it 3-2, Vanderbilt, in the top of the eighth when he reached on an error by the P, driving in 1 run. It was a big at-bat in the Commodores win.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Biernacki.
