Tar Heels Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Cyclones
The North Carolina Tar Heels overcame a good performance by Iowa State first baseman Jamie Ballentine to knock off Iowa State, 7-6, at Bruisers Ballpark. Ballentine was 2 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. North Carolina has now won 5 in a row.

Bryan Wilson hit a run-scoring double off Aaron Kelly in the bottom of the ninth, which put the Tar Heels in front, 7-6. In addition to the double, Wilson had 1 single and 2 walks, while going 2 for 4.
