Tornadoes Roll to 8-1 Win Over Marauders
|
The Kansas City Tornadoes beat the Maple Marauders, 8-1, at Debris Field. Armando Galdos was recognized as player of the game for his performance. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The slick-fielding third baseman was a menace to Maple all day. Joe Kearns was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 3 of 3 save opportunities. The last-place Tornadoes improved to 30-37.
Matt Winters swatted a run-scoring double for Kansas City in the bottom of the fifth. The first baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 2.
