Owls Fall Short, 2-1, at USC
It was a good time at Nesquehoning College Fields, where fans came to watch the Rice Owls and USC Trojans get after it.

The USC Trojans topped the Rice Owls, 2-1, with youngster Greg Dimon playing a key role. Dimon went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk for the Trojans in the win. USC reliever Wyatt Davis was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Jimmy Pennington took the loss. Getting the save was Chris Moran, his 4th.

Dimon had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 0-2 fastball from Jimmy Pennington, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Trojans a 2-1 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Dimon.

"It was sure nice to get the win but there's a lot of baseball left," Dimon after the game.
