Multi-HR Day for Willems as Salukis Overpower Hurricanes, 6-5

It was a good time at Field of the Shield, where fans came to watch the Miami Hurricanes and South Illinois Salukis get after it.
Salukis left fielder Travis Willems put his stamp on his team's 6-5 win over the Miami Hurricanes. Willems went 3-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 for South Illinois in the contest. With the win, the Salukis improved to 5-6.
The Salukis got a big at-bat from second baseman Mike Hufnagel. For the game, Hufnagel went 1 for 3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 8th hit of the season gave South Illinois a 6-4 lead.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Willems.
