Hurricanes Beat Seminoles in 10
|
The Miami Hurricanes and Florida State Seminoles obliged those fans who came to Gremlins Ballpark hoping for nail-biter.
The Miami Hurricanes topped the Florida State Seminoles, 4-3, in Skip Bertman League action at Gremlins Ballpark. The player of the game was Miami pitcher Jared Delgado. Miami reliever Andrew Millard picked up the win to move to 1-0. Andy Wright suffered the loss.
The Hurricanes got a big at-bat from third baseman Alex Sandobal. For the game, Sandobal went 1 for 3 with a double and 2 walks. In the bottom of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave Miami a 4-3 lead.
"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Júlio Santana.
The Hurricanes raised their record to 4-6.
