Mike Stacy left his imprint on the 14-12 Tulane win against the TCU Horned Frogs. Stacy, who leads the RDL in runs scored with 15, was 1-1 with a home run and 4 walks, while scoring 4 runs. Tulane reliever Ian Upton picked up the win to move to 2-0. Bryan Sobolik suffered the loss. Jesse Lay earned the save, his 2nd, for the Green Wave.

The Green Wave got a big at-bat from catcher Jim Sims. For the game, Sims was 1 for 3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Tulane a 11-8 lead.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Carlos Garza.

The Green Wave bumped their record to 6-4 with this latest triumph.
