Sun Devils Mow Down Ragin Cajuns, 10-4
|
Nick Doughty was instrumental in his team's 10-4 triumph over the Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns. The right fielder was 1-2 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Arizona State Sun Devils. Arizona State reliever Bobby Scott picked up the win to move to 1-1. Josh Moore suffered the loss. Jon Duren nailed down his 1st save.
Zach Riordan aided the Arizona State cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 3 with a walk.
"I felt good up there," said Riordan. "I saw the ball well."
With their winning streak at 4, the Sun Devils have raced to a strong start this season.
