|
The Michigan Wolverines defeated the Missouri Tigers, 2-0, in Skip Bertman League action at Siege Ballpark, with Michigan pitcher Thomas Adams named player of the game. Adams, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks. James Arnold finished to wrap up his 4th save.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the ninth inning, but James Arnold didn't flinch. With the bases loaded and Missouri trailing 2-0, Arnold retired Josh Nytes to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Arnold, with a wink.
