Wolter Goes Wild, But Bulldogs Win
The Mississippi State Bulldogs and Oregon State Beavers lit up the scoreboard at Palisades Ballpark.

The Oregon State Beavers got a superb performance from second baseman Mark Wolter. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Mississippi State. The Bulldogs won the game, 19-8. In spite of the loss, Wolter was named the player of the game. He was 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 5 times and driving in 4. Mississippi State reliever Nick Lane picked up the win to move to 2-0. Justin Underwood suffered the loss.

Mississippi State designated hitter Earl Seyfried delivered a 2-run home run in the top of the first. Overall, he went 4 for 7, including 1 home run, 2 singles, and 1 double. He scored 3 runs and batted in 6.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Mississippi State manager Carlton Price.

At 5-3, the Bulldogs have played well so far.
