Wake Forest Demon Deacans starter Jared Layton was in fine form against the Oklahoma State Cowboys at Cypress Quarters College Grounds, leading his team to a 5-3 win. The Demon Deacans, with just their 2nd win so far in 2034, have yet to catch fire.

Jim Baker aided the Wake Forest cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Layton said.
