Horned Frogs Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Rice
|
TCU played host to Rice at the friendly confines of Dingoes Ballpark.
The TCU Horned Frogs defeated the Rice Owls, 6-3, at Dingoes Ballpark today. Leading the charge for TCU was shortstop Mike Matney. He was 2-3 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 runs. TCU reliever Tyler Reed was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Steven Townsend.
Matney had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth inning, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Horned Frogs went on to win.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Matney said.
The Horned Frogs raised their record to 3-4.
