Cahall Slugs Longhorns to 14-9 Win
|
Texas played host to Baylor at the friendly confines of Ballpark of Celebration College.
The Texas Longhorns defeated the Baylor Bears, 14-9, at Ballpark of Celebration College today. Leading the charge for Texas was designated hitter Bobby Cahall. He was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 7. Texas reliever Tyler Mawn was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Dexter Adams.
Cahall contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Texas in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 8-6, Cahall took a slider from Dexter Adams and stroked the home run to right-center. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Longhorns to leap in front, 9-8.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Cahall said.
Texas, now 6-1, is setting the league on fire so far.
