Hounsell Helps Mustangs Run Win Streak to 5
|
It was a fun time at McNichols Stadium, where the San Francisco Earthquakes and Mile High Mustangs tangled.
The Mile High Mustangs beat the San Francisco Earthquakes, 7-4, at McNichols Stadium. The Mustangs got a fine performance from first baseman Adam Hounsell, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Mile High has now won 5 straight.
Hounsell had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch cutter from Lloyd Huggins, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Mustangs a 6-3 lead. It was the 17th home run of the year for Hounsell.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Hounsell told reporters after the game.
