The Alabama Crimson Tide topped the Miami Hurricanes, 9-2, in Skip Bertman League action at Titans Ballpark. The player of the game was Alabama first baseman Chris Royer. Alabama reliever Chad Rubino picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Aaron Lentz was saddled with the loss. Alabama is off to a hot start at 4-2.

Royer had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Crimson Tide went on to win.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Alabama manager Gene Beatty. "Our pregame was pretty good."
