Stark goes 3-for-4 to Pull Cowboys to .500

The Oklahoma State Cowboys thumped the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 9-1, at Canaries Ballpark. Joe Stark was a big reason his team got the win. Stark went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Josh Gamble got the win, improving to 1-0. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 1 hits and 1 run, while striking out 6 and walking 4. The loss lowers the Georgia Tech record to 2-4.
Travis Stewart drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances for Oklahoma State. The 21-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Jim Vinci. It was his 6th RBI of the season.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Oklahoma State manager Chris Dunn. "Our pregame was pretty good."
