Ragin Cajuns Rally to Eke Out Win
Fresno State third baseman John LeMoine had a good game, even if his team did not. The Bulldogs dropped a 10-9 decision to Louisiana-Layfayette at Brooks College Grounds. LeMoine hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Louisiana-Layfayette reliever Phil Wiseman was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Matt Loomis took the loss for Fresno State. Jim Riggs nailed down his 1st save.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 2nd and two out in the top of the eighth inning. That's when second baseman Jeff Frost drew a walk. The Ragin Cajuns went on to win.

Frost told a Louisiana-Layfayette Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

Louisiana-Layfayette, now 2-3, is off to a slow start.
