Bulldogs Bang Out 9-7 Win Versus Iowa State
It was a fun time at Field of the Plunder, where the Iowa State Cyclones and Georgia Bulldogs tangled.

Iowa State center fielder Matt O'Dell had a good game, even if his team did not. The Cyclones dropped a 9-7 decision to Georgia at Field of the Plunder. O'Dell went 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Georgia reliever Josiah Jackson was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Tim Hayward took the loss for Iowa State. The save was A.J. Schneider's, his 2nd.

Armando Gutierrez had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Bulldogs. Coming up with a runner on 1st and Georgia trailing 7-6, he hit a 2-run home run.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Bulldogs manager Masayuki Okamura. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."

Georgia, now 2-3, is off to a slow start.
