Extra-Inning Win by Hurricanes over Tigers
The Miami Hurricanes defeated the Auburn Tigers, 4-1, in Skip Bertman League action at Zodiac Ballpark, with Miami pitcher Curt Mohs named player of the game. Miami reliever Curt Mohs was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Steven Baker took the loss for Auburn. With the win, Miami pushes its record to 2-2.

It could have been a different outcome for Miami, had it not been for Dan Jeffries, the 21-year old catcher . Jeffries contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the 17th inning to put Miami up, 2-1.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Mohs.
