Stream Excels, But Tigers Win
The Clemson Tigers had to overcome a big game from Oklahoma shortstop Jay Stream to leave Magistrates Ballpark with a 9-6 victory. Stream was 3-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Larry Martin closed the door for Clemson, picking up his 2nd save of the year. Clemson, at 3-1, has sizzled in the early going.

Matt Gammon aided the Clemson cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop drew 1 walk in 5 trips to the plate.
