Bulldogs Bang Out 7-5 Win Versus Oregon
|
Mike Gamble had a 4-RBI game, during Mississippi State's 7-5 triumph over the Oregon. Gamble contributed 1 single and 1 home run to the cause. Mississippi State reliever Nick Lane was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Rory Cowan took the loss for Oregon. The save was Devonte Lebeaux's, his 2nd.
Gamble had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-1 fastball from Kevin Lewis, he banged a grand slam home run to left-center, giving the Bulldogs a 7-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Gamble.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Mississippi State manager Carlton Price.
Mississippi State goes to 3-1 with the win.
