Vanderbilt designated hitter Matt Strickland was instrumental in his team's 5-2 win over the Wake Forest Demon Deacans. Strickland, who is the top prospect in the Commodores organization, went 2-3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Commodores. Vanderbilt, now 2-1, has played well in the early going.
