The Las Vegas Aces topped the Brooklyn Black Knights, 11-3, in Roberto Clemente League action at Blue Ivy Stadium. The player of the game was Las Vegas pitcher and San Diego, California native Richard Lawson. Las Vegas reliever Thomas Wright picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Jan Shirazi absorbed the loss. Even with the win, the Aces have a dismal 22-42 record.

The Aces got a big at-bat from designated hitter Doug White. For the game, White was 2-4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the top of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 70th hit of the season gave Las Vegas a 2-1 lead.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Lawson told a Las Vegas Gazette reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
