Tar Heels Win at Auburn, 4-1
The North Carolina Tar Heels beat the Auburn Tigers, 4-1, at Zodiac Ballpark. The Tar Heels got a fine performance from first baseman Bryan Wilson, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-3 with a double and was hit by a pitch. North Carolina reliever Dustin Ward was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Bill Schindler took the loss. Josh Huntsman closed the door for North Carolina, picking up his 1st save of the year.

The Tar Heels got a big at-bat from left fielder Jesse Strozewski. For the game, Strozewski went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season gave North Carolina a 2-0 lead.

"We've got a great group of guys," Strozewski said, "and we're having fun right now."

The Tar Heels, now 2-0, have hit the ground running this season.
