Lewis hits 2 home runs, Cavaliers Move to 1-0
Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Tennessee Volunteers home opener. Adam Sullivan started for the home team against Jason Aves for the Virginia Cavaliers. The Volunteers were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 8-5, Virginia. Sam Lewis was named player of the game. Jon Moore picked up the save for Virginia, his 1st of the year.

Lewis had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-2 changeup from Ben Goodwin, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Cavaliers a 8-5 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Lewis.

"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Lewis.
