Sycamores Get Past Georgia Tech for 2-1 Win
Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Indiana State Sycamores were eager to watch Erik Fletcher square off against Justin Weber of the visiting Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. In the end, the Sycamores won the game, 2-1, with Erik Fletcher earning player of the game honors. Ray Toye, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings.

Chris Cronn was the walk-off hero for Indiana State. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Sycamores first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place was rockin'," Fletcher said.
