Victory Over Toreros Takes Bloomington to 39-26
|
Bloomington left-hander Salah bin Atif made an effective start against the Cabo San Lucas Toreros at Field de Los Layendas, leading his team to a 3-1 win. In 7.1 innings, bin Atif surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. The Blazers bumped their record to 39-26 with this latest triumph.
Levi Meeuwenberg, who leads the TML in bases on balls with 52, aided the Bloomington cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth. For the game, the first baseman went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
