Sasquatch Slip Past Portland, 4-3
|
Well, that's how to end a game in style.
Portland designated hitter Jeff Fosbrink had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Fosbrink hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice, even as Seattle beat the Beavers, 4-3. Fosbrink was named the player of the game despite the loss. The Sasquatch saw their record improve to 27-37.
Seattle's win came gift-wrapped. With two out in the bottom of the 14th, with the game tied, Sam Ryerse reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run.
"Exhilarating win," said Ryerse.
