Houston Sting starter Alberto Dimas was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Tree City Black Squirrels, 3-2. Houston reliever Tony Reed picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. George Fredrickson took the loss. Houston is now riding a 3-game win streak.

Felipe Gallegos made it 3-2 in favor of Houston when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with one out in the top of the eighth. The Sting went on to win.

"Been a rough stretch for us," said Tree City manager Ramón Guerrero.
