The Kingwood Knights defeated the Okanagan Lake Monsters, 4-1, at Stable Park today. Leading the charge for Kingwood was catcher Eric Head. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The 4th-place Knights improved to 77-80.

Manny de la Cruz, who is rated as the 94th best prospect by BNN, aided the Kingwood cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Kingwood manager Herb Good.
