Victory Pushes Cyclones Record to 78-74
|
Coney Island turned a good effort from starter Francisco Valdez into a win over the Okanagan Lake Monsters at Coney Island Coliseum. The final score was 5-2. Jalen DePass was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 7 save opportunities. The Cyclones bumped their record to 78-74 with this latest triumph.
Bill Upton aided the Coney Island cause with a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop went 1-3 with a double, while adding 3 RBI.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Coney Island manager Roger Fievet.
