Loss Extends Winfield Losing Streak
|
The New Orleans Jedi Knights topped the Winfield Warriors, 8-3, in Lyman Bostock League action at The Republic. The player of the game was New Orleans pitcher Tony Aaron. New Orleans reliever Sean Cassetty picked up the win to move to 3-0. Ferdinand Bevan suffered the loss. Cruz Miguel notched his 1st save in 1 chances.
Flip Brekelmans hit a 2-run double off Ferdinand Bevan in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Jedi Knights in front, 5-3. In addition to the double, Brekelmans had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Aaron.
