Sting Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Taos
|
The Houston Sting bested the Taos Blizzard by a score of 6-3, with center fielder Alex Carbajo getting the main credit. On the day, Carbajo was 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs for the Sting. The Sting bumped their record to 81-67 with this latest triumph.
Carbajo had a game-changing single in the bottom of the sixth. On a 0-2 fastball from Eddy Aguilar, he banged a 2-run single to right, giving the Sting a 5-3 lead. It was the 67th hit of the year for Carbajo.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Houston manager Héctor Flores.
