Knights Win at Boise, 6-5

2034 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Boise Bloodhounds.
The Kingwood Knights defeated the Boise Bloodhounds, 6-5. Earning player of the game honors was catcher Eric Head, who was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Kingwood reliever Edgar Alvarenga got the win, raising his record to 5-0. Francisco Martínez was tagged with the loss.
Head contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Kingwood in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 5-4, Head took a slider from Francisco Martínez and stroked the home run to right-center. His 9th home run of the season allowed the Knights to leap in front, 6-5.
"It feels good to get this one," Head told the Kingwood Daily.
The 4th-place Knights improved to 71-73.
