Ramírez, Pelicans Get 6-0 Win
|
St. Petersburg and Bethesda put this game in the books despite some rain.
Pitcher José Carlos Ramírez was sensational for the St. Petersburg Pelicans in his team's 6-0 triumph over the Bethesda Hornets. Ramírez received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. The last-place Pelicans improved to 54-92.
Ramírez made it look effortless. He scattered 3 hits over 7.1 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts. The St. Petersburg right-hander encountered little resistance from the Bethesda hitters. His season record is now 4-7.
"It feels good to get this one," Ramírez told the St. Petersburg Bulletin.
