Kings Bang Out 7-5 Win Versus Kingwood
|
The Atlantic City Kings trumped the Kingwood Knights, 7-5, at The Royal Colosseum. Atlantic City second baseman José Medina was named player of the game for his performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to Dani Sánchez in relief. His record improves to 11-0. Shinsuke Suzuki took the loss. Tom Greer converted his 44th save in 48 tries.
In the bottom of the first inning, designated hitter John Phillips came through big-time for the Kings. With Atlantic City leading 1-0, he belted a 3-run home run.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Medina. "And not try to do too much."
Atlantic City leads the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division by 17 games.
