Victory Pushes Princes Record to 84-60
|
The Bel Air Princes defeated the Coney Island Cyclones, 5-1. Earning player of the game honors was third baseman Mike Flowers, who was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. Bel Air reliever Naotake Nakamura picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Francisco Trevino absorbed the loss. The Princes bumped their record to 84-60 with this latest triumph.
Josh Cobleigh's at-bat in the bottom of the first inning was a big one for Bel Air. Coming to bat with no one out, runners on 1st and 2nd and Bel Air trailing 1-0, the shortstop hit a run-scoring single.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Flowers. "And not try to do too much."
