The Boise Bloodhounds defeated the Brisbane Bush Wackers, 6-0, in Lyman Bostock League action at Baylor Ballpark, with Boise pitcher Wil Cortez named player of the game. Boise is now 58-87, Brisbane 67-76.
The Bloodhounds used some clutch hitting to beat the Bush Wackers, a good example being the at-bat of Rob Lausten in the top of the fifth. With two down, Lausten gave his team the lead, 2-0, when he hit a 2-run double.
"We'll savor this win," Cortez told the Boise Bulletin, "then get ready for the next game."
