Pelicans Walk Off with Win
The St. Petersburg Pelicans and Okanagan Lake Monsters played a tight game at Billy Mathews Field, with the hosts claiming the hard-fought win.

The Pelicans faced a stiff challenge from Okanagan pitcher Barney Archer, but persevered to claim a win at Billy Mathews Field. The final score was 3-2. Archer went 8 innings and allowed 1 earned run. The Pelicans raised their record to 52-91.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when St. Petersburg pinch hitter Dan Stoner, facing Jesús Velásquez, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Pelicans the 3-2 win.

"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Stoner.
