Extra-Inning Win by Mustangs over Black Squirrels

San Angelo and Tree City duked it out at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium and the Mustangs came out victorious.
Tree City right fielder Miguel Pacheco was sensational. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. San Angelo beat the Black Squirrels, 5-4. Pacheco was named the player of the game despite the loss. San Angelo reliever Jason Graves picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Cory Kieck shouldered the loss.
San Angelo's win came gift-wrapped. With two out in the bottom of the 11th, with the game tied, Vince Fest reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run.
"This is a resilient bunch," said San Angelo manager Clyde Bowman.
San Angelo leads the Lyman Bostock League Earl Weaver Division by 12½ games.
