Bush Wackers Win at Nichols, 6-1
|
Brisbane second baseman Jeff Urban was instrumental in his team's 6-1 win over the Nichols Gnats. Urban went 3-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Bush Wackers. Eddy Compres picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-2. He struck out 3 in 6.1 innings. Billy Boyd was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities.
Mario de Leon aided the Brisbane cause with a 2-run single in the top of the first. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 5, while adding 2 RBI.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Urban.
Brisbane now sits in third place in the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division at 67-74.
