Blizzard Solve Bloodhounds, 5-3
|
Taos and Boise duked it out at Grand Canyon Valley Park and the Blizzard came out victorious.
The Taos Blizzard picked up a win at Grand Canyon Valley Park, knocking off the Boise Bloodhounds, 5-3. Starting pitcher Jose Barraza, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The third-place Blizzard now have a win-loss record of 66-73.
Taos needed the clutch hitting of Brent Driggs to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Blizzard on top, 3-1. For the game, Driggs had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We did a lot of things right," said Driggs.
