Cyclones Continue Skid Thanks to Keener, Hornets
|
Hornets catcher Al Keener put his stamp on his team's 7-2 win over the Coney Island Cyclones. Keener went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for Bethesda in the contest. Jung-hoon Pak earned the win for Bethesda. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 3 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 13-9. Mike Marquez earned his 2nd save in 3 chances.
Keener had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth, when he hit a 2-run single. The Hornets went on to win.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Keener.
